You fought the law and the law won

And rightfully so. This girl named Heather Smith took this video of the Appleton, WI police department supposedly beating down a bunch of teenagers outside the Appleton Public Library. What you don't see on this video is what happened before this person started taping. The best part of this is that Heather and her "friends" are trying to make it sound the like the Police are so horrible and bad people and deserve to be ridiculed. Well I'll let you look at the video and post and let's see if you can see why this person and her friends need a lesson in...well...everything!

Make sure you go click on this and read some of the comments as they may be more entertaining then the actual video. I picked out a couple of favorites.

And now here's the actual story from the Appleton PD:
Multiple Officers Respond for Downtown Disturbance (posted April 16, 2014)

On April 14, 2014, at 4:20PM, the Appleton Police Department received information of a large group of people arguing or fighting in the area between the Valley Transit Center and Appleton Public Library. Several units responded on the initial dispatch.

At 4:22PM, officers were informed an additional caller was reporting 6 to 7 people fighting in the parking lot of the Appleton Public Library. Officers arriving on scene took two individuals into custody who were yelling profanities at others. Both of the individuals taken into custody began to physically resist efforts by officers, who were attempting to escort them to squad cars. A radio request for additional officers was made as a result of the crowd size, the continued disturbance and individuals resisting officers.

As officers addressed the two initial individuals and additional officers arrived, others in the crowd of people continued to yell profanities. Some of these individuals refused to comply with orders from officers to disperse or move from the roadway. Their continued behavior resulted in two other individuals being taken into custody, including one subject who attempted to punch an officer. Two of the juveniles arrested in the disturbance were intoxicated.

No officers were injured in the disturbance. One juvenile received minor injuries while resisting officers. He refused treatment.

The Appleton Police Department arrested four subjects at the disturbance. Charges of Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest are being requested on each subject. Three of the individuals are juveniles. One juvenile was confined at the Brown County Juvenile Detention facility as a result of his actions.

A 17-year old from Menasha is being charged as an adult. In addition to the aforementioned charges, Brandon J. Peters (M/W, 10/25/96) is also being charged with Bail Jumping and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Yeah some BS for show! (whatever) This has been a lesson in the deterioration of the human race.

Who's stupider?

It's a very important question when it comes to a situation like this. Here's the story from WBAY TV2

Stolen SUV Crashes Into Appleton Home, Suspect Wanted

Appleton -
Appleton police are looking for whoever stole an SUV and crashed it into a house in the northwest part of the city.
Police say they received a call at 1 a.m. Sunday, February 2, about a vehicle crashing into a home in the 2500 block of N. Elinor St.
Officers say they arrived at the address to find a 2010 Nissan Murano had struck the home, but no driver or passengers were on scene.
Police made contact with the registered owner of the vehicle who was not aware that the SUV was missing.
Officers say the vehicle was left unlocked with keys inside the night before the crash.
So let me get this straight. A person leaves the keys in their car outside, then some mischief causing individual takes said car and crashes it into a house. This person than runs away.

So who's stupider the person who leaves the keys in the vehicle and doesn't even notice that it's missing, or the person who takes the vehicle and can't even make a clean getaway before crashing it into a house?

You decide, I'll be over here with my hand on forehead.

Stupid is as Stupid Does

I was looking at my timeline on Facebook this morning and saw a friend of mine had been woken up by sirens and flashing lights in his neighborhood at 1:45AM. Well of course I then wanted to look into it and here is what I found.

The first story is not the one I was looking for but seemed equally if not more stupid. This from WFRV:
ASHWAUBENON, Wisc. (WFRV) A local fugitive was taken into custody after fleeing from cops.

Justin Grunwald, a 21-year-old from Ashwaubenon, had felony warrants out for his arrest.
He was also wanted by police after failing to returning to jail while on work release.

Ashwaubenon Police and the Brown County Sheriff's Department went to the
1100 block of Cormier Road shortly after 5:30pm Monday in an attempt to locate Grunwald.

Grunwald fled on foot.

A perimeter was set up and  the K9 unit was called in.

Grunwald was seen entering his apartment. He was eventually taken into
custody at 10:45pm.

After being treated at a local hospital for dog bites from the K9,
Grunwald was booked into the Brown County Jail.
So let me get this straight, this guy flees the cops and then a few hours later goes back to his apartment? You sure are a smart fellow.

OK story number 2 and I believe this is the one I was originally looking for. Again from WFRV:
GREEN BAY, Wisc. (WFRV) An 18-year-old man is under arrest after a stabbing
on Green Bay's west side.

Police were dispatched to the 500 block of School Place just after 10:15pm Monday.
At the scene, they found a 16-year-old boy with a stab wound to the back.

The boy was taken to a local hospital to be treated.

Police learned the stabbing actually took place near the intersection of Howard Street
and South Chestnut Avenue. The area was taped off while police investigated.

Information on the suspect led investigators to the 1200 block of Western Avenue,
where an 18-year-old man was taken into custody. He is now booked into the Brown County Jail.

Police are requesting charges of physical abuse of a child and recklessly endangering safety.
It looks like the Brown County Jail is a little brighter today with two class A geniuses have graced it with their presence. As the wise man Forrest Gump's mama used to say "Stupid is as Stupid Does."

Back home

In March of 2009 due to unforeseeable circumstances I found myself without a home. Since Razor had debuted in February of 2000 I was on the station as DJ in form or another, nights, afternoons, mornings, weekends, mopping up the bathroom and everything else imaginable.

During the past 3 and a half years my wife and I had 2 children, I went back to school and got a second media degree, I completely changed my diet and now live completely gluten free, I started a show that airs in various parts of the country, and worked at a bar to make ends meet.

About mid November the powers that be changed over and I received a phone call asking if I'd seriously give some thought about coming back to Razor 94.7? How could I resist to come back home, and work with the people that I still consider close friends like Borna and Pete Burns, or Elwood and Roxanne Steele. More importantly the rock music fans of North East Wisconsin that over the years I personally become close to and who in turn became close to me. My friends the time has come to rock people's faces off once again. To show why we are not just a radio station and I am not just a radio DJ but we are a lifestyle, a choice, a part of the very fabric of why we exist. We love Wisconsin, we love rock music, we love what some people have considered the alternative to mainstream, and we are proud of it.

I am Cutter and from me, my family and my friends it's an honor to be back from home.
